Lakeside Rooms is dedicated to supporting the next generation of psychologists through collaboration with universities.
We help students and early-career practitioners thrive by offering expert supervision, mentoring, and hands-on experience to prepare them for their professional journey.
To become a registered psychologist in Australia, students complete six years of education and training to build the skills needed for professional practice.
We proudly offer placement opportunities to select Year 5 and 6 psychology university students in southeast Queensland. These placements give provisional psychologists valuable real-world experience in a professional clinic, guided by Lakeside Rooms’ qualified supervisors.
Supervision is a key part of a psychologist’s training, ensuring they develop the clinical and ethical skills to deliver quality care. Students placements are designed to help aspiring psychologists gain confidence and expertise as they work toward full registration and membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
