Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) at Lakeside Rooms
Lakeside Rooms practitioners are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold Medicare/DVA provider numbers, allowing eligible veterans to claim DVA rebates for psychological counselling sessions.
Veterans may face unique psychological challenges due to their military service. Addressing these needs through tailored care promotes recovery to help improve well-being and quality of life.
Referral & Eligibility
You will need a valid referral from your general practitioner (GP). For an initial treatment cycle, the referral could also come from a:
Medical specialist
Treating hospital doctor
Hospital discharge planner
Under DVA treatment cycle arrangements, a referral to an allied health provider will last up to 12 sessions or One year, whichever ends first.
