About Lakeside Rooms
Lakeside Rooms was the very first multidisciplinary group private practice for mental health professionals on the Gold Coast, established in 2000; offering services to patients from psychologists and psychiatrists.
COVID Vaccinations and Access to Services
There is a lot of discussion happening at present with the recent announcements regarding Vaccination and Access to services. We at Lakeside Rooms are investigating what our responsibilities and legal liabilities are with regard to face to face services for unvaccinated clients.
It may take us some time to sort through all the implications of the new mandates by the Queensland Chief Health Officer and other advice, and as you can imagine that will be complex given the many staff, practitioners and clients coming into our rooms.
We will update this space once we have all of the appropriate advice and a decision and options are known.
Waiting times for an appointment; with an increasing number of individuals in our community accessing mental health services, Lakeside Rooms now has a waiting list for new patients to see one of our practitioners. “This unfortunately means there is a wait of up to 16 weeks to receive an appointment and commence with our services.”
If this is too long to wait, please contact your GP for appropriate options and advice. If appropriate, and you wish to, we will add you to our waiting list and make contact when appointments become available. You may also like to visit our resources page for information and other options. Wishing you health and wellness for the year ahead.
Our rooms are located in a leafy established area in the centre of Robina, at the heart of the Gold Coast. With easy access to plenty of parking it is an ideal location for clients as we aim to provide you with a welcoming, safe, private and comfortable space.
Our focus is on developmental mental health and wellbeing and our team of Mental Health Professionals offer a wide range of experience and approaches to suit individual needs and preferences. A good rapport with your professional is critical and we can assist you to find one with whom you feel comfortable and at ease.
