Leah is an empathetic psychologist who is currently finalising her master’s level education in clinical psychology and has experience as a teacher in both the private and public sectors. She focuses on providing a warm, non-judgmental, and empathic space to support clients alongside her registered Animal Assisted Therapy Dog (Mia). Leah employs a client-centred and integrative approach to tailor individual treatment plans that best meet her client’s needs while building on existing strengths, to promote overall health and wellbeing.
Leah has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual therapy and group therapy contexts across a range of school, health, and private settings.
She enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan to provide support for a broad range of concerns. These include, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, trauma, gender and sexuality concerns, eating disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, ADHD), grief and loss, relationship challenges, and other psychological difficulties. Leah also has experience in diagnostic assessments for cognitive, neurodevelopmental, personality and age-related disorders.
Leah’s treatment is guided by a range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and Mindfulness-based approaches.
