Dr Nigel Collings is a Child Psychiatrist. He has a special interest in treating children under 12 years of age with mood difficulties. He also enjoys being involved in the management of children with development disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorders as part of a multidisciplinary group. Dr Collings completed his medical training in Queensland.
He has extensive experience in Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) on the Gold Coast, being the Director of the service for many years. Dr Collings has, over the years, been a member on numerous advisory committees and has also has been involved in teaching with Bond University and Griffith University.
Dr Collings uses various treatment modalities including psychotherapy, family interventions and medications to treat a range of conditions.
