Meet Julia:

Julia is a Clinical Psychologist, having completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at Bond University. She has completed placements in adult and young adult acute inpatient wards at Robina Hospital, Arcadia an alternative high school for disengaged youth, and Bond University Psychology Clinic. Post university she has worked in private practice. Julia has worked with a range of mental health issues including personality disorders, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, gender issues, attachment issues, relationship issues, grief and loss, trauma, depression and anxiety. She has also assessed and treated a range of neurodevelopmental disorders including autism, ADHD, specific learning disorders and intellectual disabilities. Julia has completed research in the areas of male body image and early infant attachment and developed a body image group program.

Julia has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families to support them with emotional and behavioural issues. She has a keen interest in working with adolescent and young adult populations to assist them through this transition phase of life utilising a range of evidence-based treatments. She is warm and empathetic in her approach and focuses on building a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients. Julia can also provide a wide range of cognitive, educational and diagnostic assessments to assist in funding and educational support applications.
